Who We Are
Weiyu Films is one of Singapore’s leading content creators and producers, specializing in scripted drama for television and web, as well as feature films. The company is spearheaded by Lee Thean-jeen, one of the most prolific and acclaimed writer-directors working in the Singapore independent production industry today, having written, directed, and overseen over two decades of award-winning television and film.
Our shows have been distributed throughout Asia, to the Americas as well as the CIS Region, on various platforms including Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+.They have also been recognised at leading festivals like the Rose d'Or, Prix Jeunesse, Asian Academy Creative Awards, Asia Contents Awards, and the New York Festivals.
Our mission is to tell stories that resonate deeply with audiences, bringing unique and diverse perspectives to life on screen. We believe in the power of narrative to entertain, educate, and inspire, and we are dedicated to creating content that reflects the rich tapestry of human experience.
​Embracing cutting-edge technologies, we recently ventured into Virtual Production, creating new possibilities for visual storytelling. Our pioneering efforts include producing a 23-minute pilot episode entirely using virtual production techniques, setting a new standard for the industry.
